6 pm weekends and public holidays.
Your e-mail address will stay the same and you will remain
on your current Internet plan. Hotkey Internet is a top 10
Australian Internet Service Provider that specialises in delivering
quality local Internet services throughout Australia. As a
Hotkey Internet customer, you will have access to a new anti-virus

Please note, I have delayed the September bill (which would
normally be invoiced two weeks in advance) for monthly accounts.
Starting from September, Hotkey will send all monthly invoices
in the first week of each month. Hotkey Internet will shortly
e-mail you with more information. If you need to contact them,
please call their friendly staff on 1300 134 336. I am confident
you will be happy with Hotkey's dedication to providing excellent
customer service. Finally, thank you for your continuing support
of PCTmail.

Dear customer,
Welcome to Hotkey Internet Services, your new Internet Service
Provider. From today onwards, Hotkey will be providing you with
Internet access, Internet sales, accounts and technical support:
Phone: 1300 134 336
E-mail: help@hotkey.net.au

What do you need to do?
Nothing at this stage. Your PCTmail e-mail address will remain
the same and you will stay on your existing plan. However,
you will shortly need to change over to Hotkey’s premier
network and we will advise you when you need to do this.
We expect to have your account details transferred to our
system by the 7th September 2005 and we will advise you when
this has been completed. You will receive another e-mail from
us in the next few days.
How we will invoice you
We will continue to e-mail invoices. If you pay by cheque
or money order, then please write your username and/or account
number very clearly on the back of them and post your payment
to:
Hotkey Internet Services
420 High Street
Kew VIC 3101
You can also pay using Bpay. Please remember, it takes up
to two working days to process a Bpayment (for reasons known
only to banks!) so don’t wait until the last minute
to pay your account.

3. To Dial up Customers - Change of
dial in Number to be completed by 30th September
IMPORTANT: You need to change your Internet dial-up number by
30 September 2005
Dear customer,
As part of the transfer of your account to Hotkey’s
network, you will need to change your dial-up number and your
out-going mail server details by 30th September. This will
enable you to keep your existing email address.
The PCTMail dial-up number and the out-going mail server
will be shut down by the end of this month (September), so
it is important that you change over before then.
1. How to change your dial-up number
If you have Windows 9X/Me/2000:
1. Double click the ‘My Computer’ icon on your
desktop
2. Double click the ‘Dial-Up Networking’ icon
3. Use the right mouse button and click once on your Internet
connection (e.g. PCTMail)
4. Select ‘Properties’ from the drop-down list
5. Change the telephone number (except for Optus phone numbers*)
to 0198380000
6. Click once on the ‘OK’ button to save and close
this change
7. Open your Internet connection window
8. Add ‘@pctmail.net’ to your user name, e.g.
change ‘username’ to ‘username@pctmail.net’
9. Click on the ‘OK’ button to connect to the
Internet.
If you have Windows XP:
1. Click on ‘Start’
2. Select ‘My Computer’
3. Select ‘Network Places’
4. Select ‘View Network Connections’
5. Double click on the connection icon, (this may be called
PCTMail or My Connection), then click on the ‘Properties’
option or right mouse click on the connection icon and select
Properties’
6. Change the telephone number (except for Optus phone numbers*)
to 0198380000
7. Click once on the ‘OK’ button to save and close
this change.
8. Open your Internet connection window
9. Add ‘@pctmail.net’ to your user name, e.g.
change ‘username to ‘username@pctmail.net’
10. Click on the ‘OK’ button to connect to the
Internet.
*If you have an Optus phone line, then please ring us on
1300 134 336 for the local dial-up phone number in your area.
If you have followed the above steps, then you should now
be able to access the Internet using Hotkey’s network.
As a Hotkey customer, you now have access to a large network
and, in most cases, are able to access your Hotkey account
from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local phone call.
Please confirm with your phone company that our dial-up number
019 838 0000 is a local call for you.
You can check your e-mail from http://webmail.hotkey.net.au
when you are away from your own machine (e.g. overseas or
interstate), but we do recommend you download your mail to
a specific e-mail package (e.g. Outlook Express or Eudora)
to ensure you do not lose any e-mail in the unlikely event
of a server crash.
2. How to change the out-going mail server
If you would like to continue using your existing pctmail.net
e-mail address on the Hotkey network, then you will need to
change the name of the out-going mail server to mail.hotkey.net.au
so that you can still send mail from your pctmail.net address.
If you are using Microsoft Outlook or Outlook express:
1. Open Outlook or Outlook express (cancel the connection
window if it pops up)
2. Click on ‘Tools’ in the menu bar at the top
of the window
3. Depending on the version of your program, click ‘Accounts’
or ‘Services’ from the drop down list
4. Double click your pctmail.net mail account
5. Click the ‘Servers’ tab
6. Change the out-going mail server name to mail.hotkey.net.au
7. Click the ‘Apply’ button at the bottom of the
screen to save your change.
Note, you do not need to be connected to the Internet to
make these changes.
If you have any trouble with these changes, then please call
us on 1300 134 336 and we’ll be happy to talk you through
them.
Remember, it is important that you change your dial-up phone
number by 30 September 2005. From this date, you won’t
be able to connect to the Internet using your old dial-up
phone number.
We apologise for any inconvenience these changes may cause
you. However, we are confident that the Hotkey network will
provide you with reliable and quality Internet access.
Regards,
Your Hotkey team

4. Web Hosting
Clients
Email sent to PCTmail Web Hosting Clients
Dear Hosting Customer,
As part of the integration of PCTMail customers to Hotkey
Redback, we need to transfer your domain from their current
servers to our data centre in Melbourne. The new data centre
provides better security and higher upstream bandwidth, resulting
in faster web site service, and battery and diesel generator
power backup.
The change will involve about a 12 hour down time while the
physical transfer of the machines takes place, and the new
DNS is established. This will take place before the end of
September and we will endeavour to choose a time that minimises
your inconvenience, very likely in the evening and at a weekend.
No email will be lost during this transfer but some delays
in delivery to your addresses will be experienced. Email for
some clients will not be able to be collected during this
outage period.
In some cases we will need to contact you to get details
of your domain registration and registry keys to affect this
transfer. This information will help us achieve a smooth transition
to Hotkey. If you have these available it would be a great
advantage if you could contact us when you have a spare moment,
rather than wait for us to call you. Please note the call
rate to the helpdesk will be high during the initial changeover
period. If you do happen to hit a busy time, please feel free
to leave a message and we will ring you back as soon as we
can.
If you have any concerns regarding this transfer, please
call us on 1300 134 336 or email admin@rb.net.au. Our business
hours are 8:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Friday, 10am –
6pm weekends and public holidays.
We look forward to doing business with you.
