To setup Outlook Express 5:
1. Double click on the Outlook Express icon shown
on your desktop.
2. Click on the File drop down menu
then go to Identities then click on Add
New Identity...
3. Type your indentity name in the text box. This example
will run through the setup using the name Bob Jones. Once
you have typed in your name click on the OK button.
Outlook Express will restart then run through a connection
wizard.
4. Type your display name in the Display
name: textbox. Your display name is your name that everone
sees you as when they receive email messages from you. Once
you have entered your display name click on the Next
> button.
5. Type in your E-mail address in the E-mail
Address: textbox. Your E-mail address will be your PCTMail
Account Username followed by an @ symbol then
followed by the PCTMail Domain name pctmail.net
Once you have entered your email address click on the
Next > button.
* In this example it will be bobjones@pctmail.net
6. Select from the drop down list box POP3 as your
incoming mail server. In the textbox labelled Incoming
mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: type pop3.pctmail.net
Now in the texbox below lablled Outgoing
mail (SMTP) server: type smtp.pctmail.net
Once all information is entered click on the Next
> button.
7. Type in your Account name (which is your username)
and Password in the self titled textboxes. Once you
have entered you're account name and password information
click on Next > button then click on the
Finish button.
* By default Outlook will remember your username
and password so you don't have to enter them everytime you
start up the program. You can uncheck this box if others use
the same computer and you don't want them to be given access
to your E-mail.
